Contact SupportZoom & Scale
Zoom & Scale let you control how large content appears and how crisp the output looks. Use these settings when the default capture looks too small, too big, or not sharp enough for reviews and reporting.
There are two related controls: Zoom (used for videos) and Device Scale Factor (used for images).
They are intentionally separated because browsers render video recording and image screenshot pipelines differently.
Zoom (Videos)
Zoom changes how large the page appears in the browser during a video capture. If text looks too small in your MP4, increasing zoom can improve readability.
When to use Zoom
- • Demo / presentation videos where text must be readable
- • Recording dashboards or dense tables
- • Pages designed for very large screens
Note: Zoom does not apply to emulated mobile captures (as your system already enforces a mobile rendering model).
Device Scale Factor (Images)
Device Scale Factor controls the pixel density of image screenshots. It’s useful when you want a sharper output or when you need captures that match a high-DPI environment.
When to use Device Scale Factor
- • Sharper screenshots for reports and stakeholders
- • Matching retina / high-DPI environments
- • Improving small text clarity without changing viewport size
Note: Device Scale Factor does not apply to emulated mobile captures.
